Avstar South Africa ceases B737-200 operations.
Posted on Thursday, July 29 @ 19:09:41 EDT by admin

General Aviation News It is rumoured that Avstar South Africa has ceased operations as of today.

Avstar has been leasing a couple of Boeing 737-200 aircraft to both the domestic as well as "abroad" industry and market for some years. Today it was mentioned that Avstar would give its two B737-200's to another leasing company and would no longer be operating these.

Whether Avstar will no longer operate in this field needs to be seen and only time will tell.

Should ETOPS be allowed out of Radar Range?

No, only for aircraft with more powerplants.
It makes no difference, it's ok.
ETOPS is nonsense, it's only to save money.
ETOPS is justified and the risk is ok.
ETOPS is stretching chance, not ok.
